Our Commitment

At Skill4, we believe every person deserves a path into the trades. That includes people with disabilities, people who use assistive technology, and people at every level of reading, language, and technical experience. We are committed to making skill4.org, our AI mentor Skilly, and our programs accessible and welcoming to everyone.

Our Standard

We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the widely recognized standard for accessible websites. These guidelines help make content easier to use for people who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, have mobility or dexterity limitations, or have cognitive or learning differences.

What We Are Doing

Designing pages with clear headings, readable text, and strong color contrast
Adding text descriptions to images
Supporting keyboard navigation and screen readers
Writing in plain, easy to understand language
Reviewing our website and Skilly regularly as we add new features
Including accessibility in our staff and volunteer training

Known Limitations

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. Some parts of our website, including content and tools provided by third parties such as our website platform, embedded videos, and partner links, may not yet fully meet our standard. We are working to improve them and welcome your feedback.

In Person Programs and Classes

If you need an accommodation to participate in a Skill4 class, training, or event, such as accessible seating, a sign language interpreter, large print materials, or extra time, please contact us in advance. We will work with you to provide reasonable accommodations.

Alternative Formats

If you cannot access any information on our website, contact us and we will provide it in another format, such as by email, by phone, or in print.
